FAQ

What if it rains? What if I need to reschedule?

We’ll always do our best to stick to our scheduled date and time—but sometimes Mother Nature has other plans! If the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll simply reschedule to a better day. And if you or your pup aren’t feeling your best, just let me know as soon as possible so we can pick a new date that works for everyone.

Leash, does my dog need to be off leash?

Absolutely NOT! The majority of dogs I photograph stay on-leash for their entire session—it’s the safest option. Even for action shots, we’ll use a long leash that gives your pup freedom to play while still being secure. Using Photoshop magic, the leash will disappear from your final images.

My pup prefers a harnesses or gentle leaders?

Small harnesses or simple collars are often easy to remove, but large harnesses that cover most of your dog’s chest can be tricky. If your dog normally wears a harness or gentle leader, I recommend using it to get to the session and between shooting spots, then switching to a regular collar for the photos. For dogs who slip out of collars easily, martingale collars are both safe and stylish options.

Session location?

We’ll go over location options together during your planning consultation. I have plenty of tried-and-true spots and will help you choose the perfect one—whether you’re dreaming of a natural outdoor backdrop, a cozy urban vibe, or somewhere your pup feels most comfortable.

Only 1 pet - but I have 2 or 3 or….?

Pricing is set for the 1st pup, any additional pup is $35, just remember - Chaos mounts with each additional pup added to the mix (but you already knew that)

Nervous pups?

No worries at all! We’ll pick a quiet location with minimal foot and paw traffic to help your pup feel comfortable.

Sit - HA - my dog doesn’t sit....

That’s totally fine! While basic cues like “sit” and “stay” can be helpful, they’re not required. I’ve photographed pups of every training level—even the wonderfully wiggly ones! I have tricks and techniques to capture great expressions and fun moments, no matter your dog’s obedience skills.

Can I bring extra dogs or people to the session?

I know your pup has plenty of fans, but to keep things calm and focused, I ask that we keep the guest list small—just you and your star pup. Extra pets and people can create distractions and stress. The only exception is if you have a true multi-dog household and need an extra set of hands to help wrangle the pack.

Payment Schedule?

50% due at time of booking, remainder due on shoot day.
